How do I gain access to view and/or download W-APT screener materials?

How do I set up my account for the Desire to Learn (D2L) ACCESS for ELLs® Test Administrator Training Course?

You will need:
- Your name
- Your email address

Your district facilitator will register you for an account.  Afterwards, you should receive an enrollment email with your username and password.  If you don't see this message, please check your spam and bulk mail folders.

Am I required to take the D2L quizzes to become approved to administer the ACCESS test?

Yes

Do I need to retake the D2L quizzes if I passed them last year?

No, but review of the D2L training course is strongly recommended, particularly the speaking test portion. First time test administrators must complete the training course.

Do I need to provide proof of a passing quiz grade (80%) from previous years?

 Yes

The WIDA ACCESS Placement Test (W-APT)™ will be intruduced in Pennsylvania in May 2007. Access to the screener test will be available after the statewide training schedule for May 2, 2007. If you were unable to sttend, handouts, Power Point presentations and other information will be available on the PDE ESL home page. A copy of the training is available on DVD, or via videostream through the Pa, Training and Technical Assistance Network. (PaTTAN).
