WIDA's ELP Standards, 2007 Edition
In 2007, WIDA released a new edition of Standards structured within three frameworks:
Formative framework (Word, PDF): the model performance indicators (PIs) in this framework focus on the process of learning, offering expectations for student involvement in performance-based, hands-on learning.
Summative framework (Word, PDF): The model PIs in this framework are suitable for large-scale assessment and are the basis for WIDA's ACCESS for ELLs® English language proficiency test. These PIs emphasize the products of learning.
Combined Formative and Summative frameworks (Word, PDF): integrates the elements of the Formative and Summative frameworks.
WIDA's ELP Standards, 2004 Edition are still available online for those who wish to view additional model performance indicators in the classroom, large-scale and combined frameworks.
